METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COMBINED EXTRUDED MATERIAL AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING COMBINED EXTRUDED MATERIAL USED FOR THE MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extruded material having a hollow part and an extruded material having an asymmetric shape by combining the extruded materials which are extruded into a simple solid shape having a plurality of the same shapes or a different shapes from Al-Cu-based alloy and Al-Si-based alloy.

SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a combined extruded materia is provided which includes: a step in which a plurality of extruded materials are extrusion-molded from one or a plurality of ingots which contains at least any of 1.0-5.0 mass% Si and 3.0-6.0 mass% Cu, and contains 0.25-1.8 mass% Mg, the balance comprising Al and inevitable impurities; a step in which the plurality of those extruded materials are combined; a step in which the combined extruded materials are joined at a temperature at which the mass ratio of a liquid phase which is generated in the interior to the total mass of the extruded materials is 5-35% in each of the plurality of those extruded materials. An apparatus for manufacturing the combined extruded material is also provided which is used for that manufacturing method.
