PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-saving mode release device which can surely release a power-saving mode compared to a conventional one, in a network in which various types of image forming devices are installed.

SOLUTION: A switching hub 3 is provided with a power-saving mode release table 301 which stores release method data 6 indicating release methods for releasing a power-saving mode for respective image forming devices. When a communication circuit 30c cannot transmit a packet 76 to a destination image forming device, on the basis of the release method data 6 of the image forming device, a magic packet transmission control unit 306 or a power-on signal transmission control unit 307 executes release processing for releasing a power-saving mode of the specific processing device.
