<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus having high visibility. <P>SOLUTION: An image display apparatus 1 comprises: a display 10 comprising a hemispherical screen 20 capable of displaying an image on the entire circumferential periphery (circumference of 360°); at the apex of the screen 20, an image photographing unit 40 capable of photographing the entire periphery (circumference of 360°); and a controller 50. The image display apparatus 1 is controlled by the controller 50 such that when an image is displayed on the screen 20, the image photographing unit 40 photographs the outer periphery of the image display apparatus 1, a luminance distribution detection unit detects luminance distribution in each region on the basis of imaging information, and an image displayed around a high-luminance region on the screen 20 is improved in brightness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
