<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing chargeable child particles constituting display particles that can retain an initial performance even during a long-term inverted durability test without changing charging characteristics and the like of the display particles even in driving under light irradiation in an information display device using the display particles formed by fixing the chargeable child particles on the surface of mother particles, and to provide the chargeable child particles produced using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing chargeable child particles constituting display particles for use in information display panels includes: sealing display particles that are formed by fixing the chargeable child particles on mother particle surfaces, between facing substrates, at least one substrate being transparent; applying an electric field between the substrates to move the display particles; and displaying an image. The method for producing chargeable child particles further includes: a resin fine particle production step for producing resin fine particles including cross-linked resin that has been bridged by a cross-linker; and a reaction process step for reacting unreacted group in the resin fine particles with a polymerization initiator in a process liquid including the polymerization initiator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
