摘要 Provided is a resource optimization method that enables stable live migration. A predicted volume of future traffic is estimated on the basis of the number of subscribers to be processed by an SIP server on a virtual machine (step S1). If the estimated volume of traffic is within an optimal value that has been predetermined as a volume to be processed by the physical hardware on which the virtual machine is currently running (Yes in step S2), there is no need to execute live migration of the virtual machine. Thus, upon returning to step S1, the number of subscribers to the SIP server is continuously monitored. By contrast, if the estimated volume of traffic is in excess of the optimal value (No in step S2), optimal physical hardware that has room for processing the estimated volume of traffic is selected, and the virtual machine is live-migrated to the selected physical hardware (step S3).
