<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process a clip part so as not to give a sense of discomfort to the listener. <P>SOLUTION: A sound signal processing device comprises: a detection unit 330 which detects a clip part in a sound signal x(t); a polarity discrimination unit 340 which discriminates the polarity of the clip part detected by the detection unit 330; and a processing unit 360 which compresses the clip part detected by the detection unit 330 on the basis of parameters corresponding to the polarity discriminated by the polarity discrimination unit 340, to moderate the degree of clipping. The processing unit 360 determines whether or not to correct each clip part on the basis of a duration of clip threshold which is set separately by polarity. The duration of a clip is counted by a clip counter 350. When waveforms identical in shape but differing in polarity are input to a speaker at the output destination, the processing unit 360 gives greater compression to the waveform having a polarity of larger cone paper movement than to the waveform having a polarity of smaller cone paper movement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
