<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a money registration device and a money registration program which allow discount calculation for all commodities without requiring pressing of a key of "subtotal of discount" for each transaction. <P>SOLUTION: The money registration device includes: an input/output device; an automatic discount key to instruct an automatic discount for uniformly discounting for all commodity items purchased; a price database for storing a unit price for each commodity; a transaction file for storing contents of one transaction; a discount rate file for storing a discount rate for the automatic discount; a discount flag file for storing a flag indicating the automatic discount; and a control part for reading out the discount rate from the discount rate file, sequentially reading out data from the transaction file, multiplying "unit price" by "quantity" to obtain a subtotal for each commodity, multiplying the subtotal by "the discount rate/100" to obtain a discount amount and subtracting the discount amount from the subtotal to obtain a billed amount in settlement processing of one transaction, when determining that the automatic discount will be performed by reading the discount flag file. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
