<p>Provided is a therapeutic drug for Alzheimer's disease. The therapeutic drug is characterized in comprising membrane vesicles (exosomes) of mesenchymal stem cells derived from adipose tissue, the membrane vesicles (exosomes) comprising neprilysin. Research by the present inventors has revealed that exosomes secreted from mesenchymal stem cells derived from human adipose tissue include neprilysin, which degrades amyloid beta, a pathogenic protein of Alzheimer's disease. The generation of amyloid beta was inhibited when exosomes secreted from mesenchymal stem cells derived from human adipose tissue are administered to the brains of Alzheimer's disease mouse models.</p> |
