The method involves assigning identifiers to mobile terminals e.g. smart phones (1, 2, 3), and providing the mobile terminals with a detection unit i.e. global positioning system unit. Movement data are determined from movement of the mobile terminals by the detection unit. The movement data of the mobile terminals are compared with one another, and positive and negative comparison results are evaluated. One of the identifier assigned to one mobile terminal is transmitted to the other terminal, if the comparison results are positively evaluated.
