Disclosed is a rope-pressing device for a rope descender, which device comprises a rope (1), a rope-pressing wheel (2), a wheel shaft (3), a wheel shaft seat (4), a supporting shaft (5), a supporting shaft seat (6), shaft end fixing pieces (7.1, 7.2, 7.3), a pressing fastener (8), a machine body (9), and a rope-winding wheel (10). The rope is wound onto the rope-winding wheel, the rope-pressing wheel is mounted on the wheel shaft and is fixed to the wheel shaft seat via the shaft end fixing pieces, the wheel shaft seat is mounted onto the supporting shaft seat via the supporting shaft and is fixed to the machine body via the shaft end fixing pieces, one end of the pressing fastener is fixed to the machine body and the other end thereof is provided also with a snapping component, the rope-pressing wheel is mounted to the upper side of the rope-winding wheel and is disposed within a rope groove of the rope-winding wheel, and the pressing fastener is pressed tightly on the wheel shaft seat. The rope-pressing wheel is mounted on the upper side of the rope-winding wheel so as to increase the wrapping angle for pressing the rope, thus improving the effect of rope pressing.
