<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mute for a brass instrument, the mute being capable of weakening a sound as well as reproducing resonance characteristics with high accuracy without deteriorating pitch, timbre, and tone quality, and being detachably attached to the brass instrument. <P>SOLUTION: A mute 100 for a brass instrument is detachably attached to the brass instrument. The mute 100 has a branch pipe 110 into which at least a part of the breath of a player blown into the brass instrument flows in the state that the mute 100 for the brass instrument is attached to the brass instrument, the branch pipe having a plurality of pipe bodies connected to each other such that gaseous matter flowing into one pipe is branched to another pipe at a connection part of the inner space of each pipe body and flows into the other pipe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
