This motion analysis device is characterized in having: a storage unit for storing data representing a plurality of particles representing a physical object; a dividing processing unit which stores, in the storage unit, data representing a plurality of divided particles into which a particle of interest has been divided if a predetermined eccentricity relationship exists between other particles existing within a predetermined range centered upon the particle of interest included in the plurality of particles; and a motion analysis unit for analyzing motion of the physical object in accordance with the type of the physical object using data representing the plurality of divided particles stored by the storage unit.
