Threads or plates with hollows are formed by pouring liquid or pasty plastic onto rotating cylinder having grooves or hollows in its surface; cylinder then conveys plastic over a tangential plate, in contact with cylinder for forming threads, or spaced from it for forming sheets. Strip produced is cooled; roller is cooled before plastic application point. Simple cheap fabrication of plastic threads, nets, trellis-work, or sheets. Easily interchangeable rollers facilitate quick pattern changes.
