<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a crosslinked polyethylene pipe, capable of easily manufacturing the crosslinked polyethylene pipe with shape memory of a straight state, regardless of presence of a heat insulating material, and a crosslinking treatment device used for the manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In a tank body 11 of a treatment tank 1, a pipe support lane L is formed by arranging a roller pair 5 comprising two grooved guide rollers 51, a pair of upper and lower rollers, at a predetermined pitch in the longitudinal direction of the tank body 11. A pipe to be treated P is passed through the pipe support lane L while being guided by the paired guide rollers 51. While supporting at least an uncrosslinked pipe P1 of the pipe to be treated P in a generally straight state in the longitudinal direction in the tank body 11, uncrosslinked polyethylene constituting the uncrosslinked pipe P1 is subjected to hydrothermal crosslinking by passing water vapor through the uncrosslinked pipe P1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
