<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method and electrical system for monitoring health of electrical generators and motors. <P>SOLUTION: An electrical system comprises: one or more radio frequency current transformers (RFCTs) 46A, 46B, 46C that measure radio frequency (RF) signals corresponding to arcing events in one or more rotating power delivery assemblies comprising a plurality of sliding surfaces that deliver power to a rotating load; and a processor 48 that receives measurements from the one or more RFCTs and determines a health value of a circuit on the basis at least in part of the received measurements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
