<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator that improves the cooling efficiency and reduces power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes: a compressor; a condenser; an evaporator for cooling a storage compartment; an outside temperature sensor for detecting a temperature of a refrigerator installation atmosphere; and a control unit for controlling a rotating speed of the compressor.
