PURPOSE: A method for controlling slag foaming in a converter is provided to effectively reduce slag forming in a converter and thereby prevent the outflow of slag during tapping. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling slag foaming in a converter comprises the steps of: raising a lance(3) after completion of smelting of an electric furnace(1) so that a lance nozzle(3a) is located in slag(5), blowing a mixed gas of argon gas and oxygen gas through the lance nozzle into the slag, and injecting aluminum dross into the slag. |
