<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device capable of preventing excessive voltage from being outputted to the outside when power is turned on/off, and to provide a drive method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In the solid-state imaging device of the embodiment, a capacitor 1 passes an alternating-current component of a signal outputted from a CCD to be inputted in an amplifier 2, and a clamp gate 3 whose conduction is controlled by a clamp pulse outputs direct-current reference voltage VREF used as an operation reference point of the amplifier 2 to the amplifier 2 at the time of conduction. In the solid-state imaging device, a first direct-current reference voltage is inputted in the clamp gate 3 during an effective signal output period of the CCD, and a second direct-current reference voltage is inputted in the clamp gate 3 during the rising period and/or the falling period of the power supply voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
