PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage paper-based documents from creation of the documents to disposal of the documents.

SOLUTION: A document management system comprises: document data input means for reading document information; display means for displaying the document information; document data storage means for storing the document information; document location determination means for determining a storage place of the document; document label print means for printing a bar code recording data for identifying the document; document search means for searching for document information; and document storage period management means for displaying information about a storage period of the document on the display means.
