<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire capable of suppressing a groove in a tread from cracking while suppressing degradation in high-speed performance and road noise performance. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 2 is formed with a groove 22 extending in the peripheral direction on a tread surface 20. The tread 4 includes a center region C and a pair of shoulder regions S. A hardness Hs of the shoulder region S is set to be higher than a hardness Hc of the center region C. Each of an inner layer 30 and an outer layer 32 of the belt 12 is constituted of many cords and topping rubbers arranged in parallel. An inclination angle αs of a cord at a side portion of the outer layer 32 is set to be larger than an inclination angle αc of a cord at the center portion. A difference (αs-αc) between the inclination angle αs and the inclination angle αc is 2 to 5° incl.
