<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting method of section allocation able to achieve efficient section processing by efficiently allocating stackers, and to provide a sorting apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The setting method of section allocation used for section processing to permute a plurality of paper sheets includes: setting a base number to a number obtained by subtracting the number of auxiliary stackers from the total number of stackers available for section processing; setting the number of sorting destinations in the first pass of section processing to an integer equal to or lower than the half of the total number of stackers; setting the number of sorting destinations in the second pass of section processing to an integer equal to or lower than the base number, the second pass of section processing being executed to permute the sorted paper sheets in the first section processing in a given order; and storing the allocation setting information in a memory, the information showing each of the sorting destinations of the plurality of stackers allocated in the first pass and the sorting destinations of one stacker allocated in the second pass to all of section information to be processed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
