<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral turbine which employs a shaft provided with a diaphragm in a groove, in place of a blade shaft in a conventional turbine. <P>SOLUTION: A helical groove is formed on the outer circumference of a rotor. Diaphragms are installed in the groove at equal intervals. A groove that matches the groove of the rotor is provided in an inner wall of a casing.
