The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary cell. This manufacturing method is characterized in having the following steps: (1) an intermediate body generation step for generating an intermediate body, which is a powder or a compact containing a first raw material compound, the first raw material compound being a compound of a transition metal, other than lithium, forming the lithium complex oxide; (2) a lithium source compound addition step for adding a second raw material compound, which is a lithium compound, to the surface of the generated intermediate body so that the second raw material compound adheres in a film form; and (3) a calcination step for calcinating the intermediate body having the second raw material compound adhering to the surface, and thereby generating the lithium complex oxide. |
