PURPOSE: An electronic book service method is provided to insert an advertisement matched with printout contents into an electronic book file, thereby reducing an electronic book price provided to a consumer. CONSTITUTION: A book, which an electronic book conversion service is requested, is scanned and a scan image is generated(S12). The scan image is analyzed and text information and margin information are extracted(S14,S16). The margin information is compared with advertisement margin pattern information and a matched advertisement margin pattern is extracted(S22). A matched advertisement is extracted by comparing the text information and advertisement copy information(S24).
