PURPOSE: A strip position sensing apparatus is provided to facilitate the movement of a light generating element by attaching wheels to the light generating element and to reciprocate a head as being in contact with a transparent window by guiding the head with a guide bar. CONSTITUTION: A strip position sensing apparatus(1) comprises a lower measuring unit(10), an upper measuring unit(20), and a cleaning unit(30). The lower measuring unit projects lights upward to strip being transferred. The lower measuring unit comprises a case(11) having a light transmission hole at the top wider than the width of the strip and located across the strip, a light generating element inserted in the case and generating lights, and a transparent window(13) installed at the top of the case and covering the light transmission hole. The upper measuring unit is located above the lower measuring unit and senses lights. The cleaning unit removes foreign materials from the lower measuring unit. |
