<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of easily and safely using a light source different from an existing fluorescent lamp without changing a socket. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system is provided with a light-emitting part with a plurality of light-emitting diodes mounted on a substrate 11, a straight-tube type tube body 10 housing the light-emitting part, a holding cap 12 fitted at either end part in a length direction of the tube body 10, and a power-feeding part 13 for feeding lighting power to the light-emitting part in a different route from one through the holding cap 12. The system is provided with an LED lamp 1 mounted on a connection part 22 with its power feeding part 13 electrically connected with a lighting device, a socket 20 with the holding cap 12 mounted, and a fixture body 2. The holding cap 12 is electrically isolated with the substrate 11. The light-emitting part is housed in the tube body 10 so as to irradiate light downward when the holding cap 12 is mounted on the socket 20.
