A pot-type liquid fuel burner has a vaporizing plate 3 with an outer peripheral wall 2 and combustion ring 1 mounted thereon, an inner cylinder 12, an outer cylinder 13 and an auxiliary burner comprising an ignition wick 19 located externally of the cylinder 13 but in communication with the space between the cylinders 12, 13 through apertures 20 in the lower part of cylinder 13 forming less than a quadrant of the circumference. The wick 19 is secured to an upper partition wall 21 by radially disposed guide members 23. |
