<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat sliding device that can more increase the movement amount of the locking member when releasing the movement locking between rails without upsizing the rail cross section. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes a release handle 6 that is inserted in an upper rail 4 and connected to the locking member, and is held elastically to abut to a support wall 22 (upper edge 22a) by a torsion spring 41, and can transmit the operation force that release the locking of relative movement to the locking member by being turned to approach to a second connection wall 15 of a terminal of the upper rail 4 resisting to the biasing force of the torsion spring 41 with the abutting part of the support wall 22 as a fulcrum point; and a cover 50 that is mounted on the terminal of the upper rail 4 and closes the terminal.
