<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus detection sensor capable of obtaining an accurate charge storage result with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A focus detection sensor includes a line sensor consisting of a pair of sensor arrays where multiple pixels are arranged. The sensor arrays consist of: a first type of pixel that is configured to transfer a charge generated at a photoelectric conversion element in a charge accumulation period to corresponding memory means, and to integrate the charge at the memory means; and a second type of pixel that integrates the charge generated at the photoelectric conversion element in the charge accumulation period without transferring the charge to the memory means until the end of the charge accumulation period, and transfers the charge to the corresponding memory means when the charge accumulation period ends. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
