<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device which can reduce an area of contact with a paper medium when conveying the paper medium. <P>SOLUTION: The conveying device 20 conveys the paper medium from upstream to downstream of a conveying route. The device includes a plurality of wire ropes 26 which are arranged apart from each other, support the paper medium, and convey the supporting paper medium on the conveying route.
