<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel loader for allowing inspection and maintenance in front of an engine compartment in a well workable manner and an operator to work in a well rearward viewable manner. <P>SOLUTION: A Rear wheel 3b is mounted on each side of a rear vehicle body 2. A platform 4 is mounted on each side of the rear vehicle body 2 while extending from the lower side of a door of an operator cab 6 to the upper side of the rear wheel 3b. The rear part (located above the rear wheel) of the platform 4 is higher than the front part (located bellow the door) of the platform 4, and a plate member is erected on a level difference part between the rear part and the front part. In the rear part of the platform 4, an opening 4a is formed with a through-hole.
