<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display defect repairing method of an electrophoretic display device capable of contributing to improvement of display quality and production yield, a manufacturing method thereof, and a display defect repairing device. <P>SOLUTION: The display defect repairing method includes the steps of: arranging a second substrate having second electrodes on a second surface being a side opposite to a first surface of a microcapsule containing layer; making the microcapsule containing layer display a preset image by applying voltages between first electrodes arranged on the first surface and the second electrodes; determining presence/absence of abnormality in each of a plurality of microcapsules on the basis of the image displayed by the microcapsule containing layer; and destroying a shell body of a microcapsule in which presence of the abnormality is determined among the plurality of microcapsules when presence of an abnormality is determined in the abnormality presence/absence determination step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
