Provided are an exhaust gas purification catalyst that contains a carrier, which contains aluminum borate in which 2.5 to 11.5 atom % of the aluminum atoms in the aluminum borate are substituted by Fe, Co, Ga or Ni, and Pd supported on the carrier, and an exhaust gas purification catalyst structure that contains a catalyst support comprising a ceramic or metallic material and a layer of the exhaust gas purification catalyst supported on the catalyst support.
