In the present invention, an image control unit, if an object within one display area of a display unit is specified as an object of magnification, references layout information in order to identify the object type of the specified object on the basis of coordinates of the specified object. Objects of the same object type as the identified object type are selected from among objects existing in scaled-down images of each display area so that on the basis of the coordinates and sizes of each of the selected objects, coordinates upon each of the areas for display at magnification time for each of the selected objects are calculated. The ratio between the size of each of the selected objects and the size of the entire scaled-down image for each display area is calculated as a magnification factor for each of the selected objects so that each of the objects is magnified in being displayed upon each of the areas for display, respectively, on the basis of the calculated coordinates upon each of the areas for display at magnification time for each of the objects and the calculated magnification factor for each of the objects.
