The system has a protection device for material processing with lasers i.e. high power lasers, of class 4 under direct stereoscopic process observation. The protection device includes a helmet (1) and a folding visor (2) with two integrated monitors (4, 5). The visor is made of absorbable material for laser radiation and for secondary radiation with required protection class. A position of the visor is open or closed and detected by a safety switch (3). One of the monitors obtains image information of two separated cameras to produce a stereoscopic three-dimensional image.
