<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst composed of a metal complex in order to carry out the hydration reaction of a nitrile compound to an amide compound with efficiency and at a low temperature of lower than 100°C. <P>SOLUTION: In the catalyst, a metal complex expressed by chemical formula (1) is used as an active ingredient. Also, in chemical formula (1), the metal ion M is an ion which can have a six-coordination octahedral structure, and is selected from Fe(III), Co(III), Mn(III), Zn(II), Ru(II), and Ru(III). In chemical formula (1), l, m, and n have a carbon skeleton composed of l=0 to 3, m=1 to 3, and n=0 to 2. In chemical formula (1), R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to R<SB POS="POST">3</SB>show a carbon chain composed of a straight chain methyl group, ethyl group, propyl group, butyl group, a branched isopropyl group or isobutyl group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
