<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead acid battery with improved safety in which a metal fixing jig does not come into contact with a terminal of the lead acid battery even when a jig's nut comes loose due to the on-vehicle vibration. <P>SOLUTION: A method of fitting a lead acid battery to fix the lead acid battery comprises the steps of: placing a lead battery, on a tray, comprising a power generation element, a battery case to accommodate the power generation element, and a lid which seals an opening of the battery case and projects a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal connected to the power generation element from the upper surface of the lid; placing a fixing jig having a hole on the upper surface of the lead acid battery; and putting a pole engaged with the tray into the hole of the fixing jig and fastening a nut of the jig. The method further uses a holder cover comprising an engaging part for engaging with the sealing portion between the battery case and the lid, a fitting part for fitting to the fixing jig, and a facing surface for facing the upper surface of the nut, to fix the nut on the upper surface of the lead acid battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
