Protective device for a blade of a wind turbine

The protective device has rotor blade trailing edge (12) and rotor blade leading edge (14), trailing edge cover (18) for rotor blade (10) and strap (26) connected to the trailing edge cover. A nose edge cover (30) for rotor blade, is connected with strap. Several elongated contact elements (32) are connected to each other such that the nose edge cover with its contact elements is connected to the edge of nose rotor blade. A protective element (34) is provided on side of contact element facing the rotor blade. The protective element is made of cushion of nylon and/or neoprene.
