The invention provides an apparatus and method for coating active material. The apparatus for coating active material comprises a jar for storing the slurry of the active material, a pump which is connected to the jar and provides the slurry, a slot spreader which is used for coating the slurry provided by the pump from one surface of the electrode set fluid, a thickness measurement unit for measuring the thickness of the slurry coated along the horizontal direction and the coating direction, and a drying furnace for drying the coated surface after measuring the thickness. |
