FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: device has a sealed chamber with a housing filled with deuterium and/or tritium, matrix assemblies of pyroelectric crystals and thermal elements mounted to outer sides of the assemblies. The matrix assemblies consist of regularly arranged pyroelectric crystals with similar properties. The assemblies are in form of an m×n matrix, where m=2-10 is the number of rows of the matrix, and n=2-10 is the number of columns of the matrix. The pyroelectric crystals in the assemblies are made from barium-strontium niobate. A metal plate adjoining the first assembly of pyroelectric crystals is made from a refractory metal, and the metal discharge elements are made from tungsten or tantalum, while providing a high electric field gradient between the pyroelectric crystals. Thermal elements provide periodic and synchronous heating and cooling of the crystal matrices.EFFECT: generation of neutrons with higher output.6 cl, 3 dwg |
