The cargo compartment has a robot with a robot arm that has a holding tool for receiving a cargo. The robot is arranged in a sliding manner in a ceiling construction or wall construction of the cargo space. The ceiling construction or wall construction has an attached holding unit, particularly with a linear guide. A drive unit is provided for moving the holding unit mounted on the robot, particularly along a longitudinal axis of the aircraft. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a cargo storage device for a cargo compartment of an airplane; and (2) an airplane with a passenger compartment and a cargo compartment. |
