A clip of resilient sheet material, e.g. sheet steel, comprises two spaced-shaped plates 7 connected by two outwardly curved side members 9, each plate 7 carrying an inclined tongue 5, the free ends of the tongues being notched and spaced for retaining an article, e.g. cylindrical pin 3, located therebetween. The side members 9 may be urged towards one another, thereby moving plates 7 and thus tongues 5 away from each other to release the article clipped between the tongues.
