The device has clamping segments (5, 6) articulatedly connected with each other, where the segments engage flanges (3, 4) of sleeves (1, 2) in a use position and hold the flanges in a together coupled condition. One of the segments is fixed at the sleeves, and free ends of the segments are coupled by connecting elements. The connecting elements are formed as an eye screw with a nut and a retaining slot (8) for the screw, where the screw is pivotably fixed at the free end of one of the segments, and the slot is formed at the free end of the other segment.
