An insulating case for a lithium rechargeable battery is provided to ensure excellent flexural strength and heat resistance and to improve high-temperature stability in a lithium rechargeable battery. An insulating case for a lithium rechargeable battery is formed of a resin composition. The resin composition comprises a stereoregular homo-polypropylene, an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer prepared by using a single-site catalyst, and a nucleating agent. The homo-polypropylene has an isotactic pentad fraction of at least 95wt% and a melt index of 10-60 g/10 minutes at 230 °C. The ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer has a density of 0.85-0.90 g/cm^3 and a melt index of 1-10 g/10 minutes at 190 °C. |
