[Also in Division E2] A fastening device for a wrist watch band and the like comprising two substantially similar first and second arcuate band sections 1 and 1' consists of an upper arcuate plate member 11 adapted to be secured to section 1 by means of a lip passing through a slit 3 in the 1st section and a lower plate member 12 which has guides for guiding the passage of section 1' is joined to member 11. A leaf spring pawl 16 having a V-shaped free end 17 engages in transverse elongated slots 2 in section 1', and can be released by lifting lever 19 acting on pawl 17 at 18. In a second embodiment at lever 18 is modified to a pawl shape 19'b, the resilient locking force being supplied by substantially straight leaf spring 16'. |
