A fuel supply system for a vehicle, comprises a fuel pump (118) disposed in a fuel tank (103), wherein a bottom plate of said fuel tank (103) has a fuel sump portion comprising a step portion (125) and a lower portion (126) located on the lower side of said step portion (125), and a fuel suction port (131) of said fuel pump (118) is located on the lower side relative to said step portion (125) and at an upper surface of said lower portion so as to be located at a roughly central portion in the width direction and the front-rear direction of said fuel tank (103).
