An anchoring device comprising a rear part 7 and an end part 3 which has a longitudinal axis and is provided with a transverse bore 4 formed at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis is secured to a plate 1 by inserting the end part 3 into a blind hole 8 of the plate, drilling a further blind hole in alignment with the bore 4 in the plate and then inserting a pin (11) (Fig. 2, not shown) into the bore 4 and the associated blind hole. The parts 3, 7 of the device may be cylindrical and separated by a shoulder 6 and the rear part 7 may be provided with a threaded socket 12 for the reception of the threaded end of a stay 13. The pin (11) may be locked within the bore 4 by deforming the anchoring device in the region of the bore 4. |
