The belt (1) has a resilient base body provided based on thermoplastic elastomer or vulcanized rubber. A top layer (2) is formed as a belt rear part and a substructure (5) with a power transmission zone (8). The power transmission zone is provided with a fabric (10), which exhibits a closed surface structure and contains chain threads and weft threads. The chain threads and/or the weft threads are texturized by a false wire process. The fabric is provided with a side with an adhesive agent i.e. polymer layer, where the side is turned towards the substructure.
