Disposable needleless injector with elements for increasing trigger safety

The one-way injector (4) has a push rod (21). A spring pre-loaded energy storage (50) is located on the push rod and a piston actuating ram (60) is supported by push rod. A trigger unit (80) is provided for blocking the push rod. The piston-actuating ram is engaged with a plunger (150) of wedge gear and the push rod is secured with a wedge portion (130) of wedge gear. The wedge portion of wedge gear is displaced upon initiation of the injector by plunger.
