Pigment for glazing ceramics is made by heating a mixture to red heat which contains as a colour modifying agent such an amount of phosphorus oxide, arsenic oxide and/or bismuth oxide, or a compound producing such an oxide that in the pigment, in relation to the ZrO2 present, from 0.1 to 1% b.wt. of phosphorus, from 0.1 to 2% by wt. of arsenic and/or from 0.5 to 25% b. wt. of bismuth is present.</p> |
